Monday kicks off Lafayette’s Bear Fund Week–a week focused on increasing participation in Lafayette’s annual giving campaign by encouraging EVERY family to make a donation. This year’s Bear Fund campaign is all about the ABCDE’s of the Bear Fund!
- Arts – Shrek Jr. the Musical premieres in the spring!
- Belonging – New adaptive technology makes it possible for all students to learn
- Classroom – New classroom rugs support teacher instruction and student learning
- DCPS equity pledge – 10% of donations supports DC’s Title I schools, like our partner school Takoma Elementary
- Extracurriculars – A revitalized Bear Garden brings students outside for lifelong learning and next week’s Book Fair reinforces students’ love of reading
Our goal this year is 100% participation and we hope you’ll help us fill the jar. Don’t forget about corporate matches, grandparent support, and even alumni families who might want to give. And stay tuned for exciting raffles, giveaways, and even an appearance by Lafayette’s mascot!
