Two exciting arts partnerships are coming to a close and we want to celebrate with you! What a fantastic way to celebrate Music and Arts in our Schools Month!!!
Grade 3 parents and students enjoyed a fabulous concert to kick off the Month where all of grade 3 artworks were projected onstage during a Montgomery Symphony concert! Grade 3 parents who missed our concert are invited to come for an ARTWALK Friday morning 3/21 from 8:05-8:35 in the Art Hallway to view the artwork in person.
Grade 2 students in Ms. Shaw’s class have wrapped up a partnership with the Cherry Blossom Festival Committee and the artist TrapBob! The mural the students created during our art classes will be on display at the Tidal Basin from March 22nd to April 6th. Be sure to stop by and witness the beauty of all the schools’ work in the heart of the Festival! Once our mural is returned to Lafayette after the Tidal Basin display, the committee will schedule an unveiling/hanging ceremony at Lafayette for the students. Parents will be invited to come view the installed mural at our community meeting in mid April!
