Class Activity Fees
Each year, a one-time payment for each student is requested- the Class Activity Fee (CAF). The fees for students in each grade level for SY2025-26 are:

PreK-4: $130

5th Grade- $220
These funds cover the costs of:

2 Field Trip Buses- $60
-
2 Field Trip Entry/Fees- $40

1 Field Day T-Shirt- $25
- 1 End of Year Celebration – $5

5th Graders also have additional CAF costs of $25 for a class t-shirt and $65 for a third field trip associated with promotion.
5th grade students also go on a 3 day, 2 night field trip to Nature Bridge. A separate cost of $360 is associated with this trip, with full scholarships available for all who wish by emailing lafayette.dcps@k12.dc.gov.
Note: Class Activity Fees are NOT a donation to the HSA and are not tax-deductible.
